It was back in the late 70's when I was a young boy that my interest in photography started. I remember that our family photos were taken mostly by my father. Browsing through our old family albums I liked how sepia photos looked in those old hardbound albums.
Growing up in the 80's, I marveled at the photographers who would shoot for fashion, travel and automobile magazines. I acquired my first camera in this era, a Minolta film camera which was a present from my uncle.
Fast track to 2011, I bought my first DSLR camera. A Nikon D3100 with an 18-55mm kit lens. I learned a whole lot about photography using this camera and most of my photos were taken with this setup. The only upgrade I made was a purchase of a Nikkor 18-300mm lens. The versatility of this equipment enabled me to photograph travel, landscape, people, events and automobile photography just to name a few. In fact, a number of my photos have been used and published in the BMW Car Club of the Philippines annual calendar.
In 2016, I turned my hobby into a full time profession. I have also upgraded my equipment. Since I learned using the Nikon system, I continued using the brand. I photograph my subjects in both APS-C and full frame cameras and a variety of Nikkor trinity, prime and zoom lenses.
I am a self taught photographer but have attended photography schools and workshops to add knowledge to my craft. My formal education in photography was done through the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation and the Nikon School.
